For 50 years Oregon Supervalu has served the community of Oregon, Illinois. First oweed and operated by Bill Kaufman and now by his son, Jim Kaufman, Oregon Supervalu seeks to offer their customers quality food choices as well as outstanding customer service.
So, here we are, March 21, 2020.
First of all, thank you all so much for your kind words, encouragement and patience over these past few days. The outpouring of your love and support has been felt by everyone here at Oregon Supervalu and has energized us and kept us going through what has been a historical moment in all of our lives. Thank you a thousand times and from the bottom of our hearts.
Secondly, I know that the announcement by Governor Pritzker yesterday moves us into a new realm of uncharted territory as a community. So, in an effort to keep our “sheltering in place” from becoming isolation and to keep you informed about any changes to our hours of operation, operating protocol and any other news you can use, we are implementing the Oregon Supervalu Food Loop. Any upcoming changes, product deliveries, inventory notices and community news will all be communicated on our Facebook page. So, be sure to visit us on Facebook @OregonSupervalu like and follow us and then share our page with your friends and family in the area and tell them to follow Oregon Supervalu so that we can all keep in touch, mutually encourage one another, and be “in the loop” because the truth is, we are all in this together.
God made us to live and thrive together in community taking care of each other and loving God and loving our neighbors as ourselves. When we do that, when we love and sacrificially serve one another, when we love like He loves, together we are stronger.
Ok. Here’s this week’s store hours.
Monday - Saturday 7 am - 7 pm
Special Senior/High Risk Customer Hours 7 am - 9 am Monday & Wednesday
In an effort to give our seniors and other high risk customers space and time to shop, we will be dedicating Monday & Wednesday mornings from 7 am - 9 am to their shopping needs. If you do not fall into one of those categories, please refrain from shopping during those hours.
Finally, we are living during an ever-changing and fluid time of new regulations, mandates and best practices. Please know that we are making every effort to both serve the community and look out for the welfare of our employees and their families. So, in an effort to give our employees a true day of rest, we may be closing on Sundays after this week. That is yet to be decided and if we do decide to go that route, we will keep you posted and let you know ASAP right here and via Facebook. Thank you for your understanding and support!
This week special hours for our seniors and high risk customers will be Monday & Wednesday from 7am-9am. These groups are our most vulnerable citizens and we want to be sure they have the time and space they need to shop, so please refrain from shopping during these special hours unless you are 60 or older, immunocompromised, pregnant or have an underlying condition that makes you more susceptible to covid 19. Our Senior Discount will be available during Monday’s special hours as well as all day Wednesday.
Planning your shopping around these hours will insure a safer environment for the most vulnerable among us and is one way you can help them during this difficult time.
Thank you for your understanding, patience and for loving your neighbors!
